Meet Amy M. Rudser, O.D.
Founder of Advanced Eye Care Professionals
Dr. Amy M. Rudser is originally from Northfield, MN. After graduating from Northfield High School she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry. Dr. Rudser completed her externship training in a variety of clinical settings with a broad range of different optometry subspecialties including:
- the Muncie Eye Center in Muncie, IN
- the VA Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN
- River Valley Vision Centers, Northfield, MN
- and the Indiana University School of Optometry Eye Clinics.
During optometry school, Dr. Amy Rudser was elected by her peers to serve as the national American Optometric Student Association president.
Professional associations Dr. Rudser is currently involved with include:
- American Optometric Association, (including the contact lens and cornea section, Minnesota Optometric Association),
- Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce
- and the Lakeville Rotary Club.
Her professional interests are:
- primary patient care,
- contact lenses,
- diagnosis, and treatment and management of eye disease including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
Dr. Rudser also performs infant eye exams (through the InfantSEE program) and co-manages several different ocular surgery procedures with other local ophthalmologists in the greater Twin Cities area.
Dr. Rudser specializes in bifocal/multifocal contact lenses, correction for astigmatism, and Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) nightwear lenses for the correction of myopia without surgery.
She enjoys swimming, reading, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family around the Twin Cities area.
